Fatal car crash closes Princes Highway north of Moruya

The Princes Highway has been closed in both directions following a fatal car crash this morning, which claimed the life of a 25-year-old man.

A NSW spokesperson said police inquiries were ongoing after the crash, which occurred earlier today (24 August).

“About 5:50am, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, about 15 km north of Moruya, after reports of a single-vehicle crash,” the spokesperson said.

“A utility reportedly lost control and crashed.

“The driver and sole occupant died at the scene.

“Officers from South Coast Police District have established a crime scene with the highway closed and local traffic diversions in place.

“An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash.”

According to Live Traffic NSW, motorists are being asked to allow for extra travel time and use diversions.
