Heavy rain has wrought havoc along the coast overnight, and likely won’t ease until later this evening.

Emergency services have urged residents to stay safe, prepare their property and stay off the roads if possible.

A number of sections of Bolong Road are closed at Bolong and at Coolangatta.

Further south, at North Batemans Bay, Cors Parade and the Princes Highway both have water over the road, and drivers are urged to steer clear.

Church Street at Mogo, and rural roads at Nelligen and Mogendoura are also under water – take care if you are in the area.

The Princes Highway is also flooded near Shelley Street and further south at Turlinjah.

In Moruya, Shore Street, Albert Street, Spencer Street and Dwyers Creek Road are all flooded.

Wamban Road is flooded in sections, and Araluen Road is closed at Kiora bridge.

Heavy rain may continue today, but is likely to ease this evening.

Flood waters are predicted to peak at about 11 am today with the high tide.
