Woman killed in single-vehicle crash along Princes Highway

A woman has died after her vehicle crashed into a tree at Eden on the state’s south coast.

Emergency services responded to reports a vehicle had left the Princes Highway near West Street before hitting a tree at about 6:10 pm on Thursday (11 April).

The 66-year-old driver died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.

A report will also be prepared for the information of the coroner.
