Multiple-vehicle crash north of Moruya leaves man dead

A young man has been killed following a multiple-vehicle crash on the Princes Highway at Bimbimbie, north of Moruya.

Emergency services were called to the intersection with the highway and Old Mossy Point Road at about 5:30 pm on Tuesday (4 July).

Police officers discovered the 23-year-old male driver of a hatchback had died at the scene.

The drivers of the other two vehicles involved – a 46-year-old woman and 35-year-old man – were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Moruya Hospital with minor injuries.

Specialist police will forensically examine the crash site, which had been declared a crime scene.

A report will also be prepared for the information of the coroner.
