Man dies in head-on collision on South Coast

A 46-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle crash on the NSW South Coast.

A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called at approximately 3:30 pm on Monday (3 June) to the Princes Highway near Turpentine Road, Tomerong, following reports of a crash.

“On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District found two vehicles had collided head on,” they said.

“NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 46-year-old driver; however, he died at the scene.”

The second driver – a 67-year-old man – was trapped for some time. He was ultimately released and taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles.

A crime scene was established and forensically examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
