A 25-year-old man is facing two charges over a serious crash on the NSW South Coast late last year.
A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called at about 2 pm to the Princes Highway at Yatte Yattah on 8 December 2024.
Officers attached to the South Coast Police District attended and found a Hyundai hatchback and a Toyota sedan had crashed.
The hatchback’s alleged driver, a 25-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 25-year-old male passenger was airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver and sole occupant of the sedan – a 21-year-old man – was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit began investigating.
On Friday (9 May), officers issued the 25-year-old alleged driver of the hatchback with a Court Attendance Notice and charged him with negligent driving (occasioning grievous bodily harm) and causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear before Milton Local Court on 10 July.
