New COVID-19 cases in Surfside, Goulburn, Yass and Queanbeyan

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) has been notified of four new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday – all of them so far unconnected to previous cases.

One new case is in Surfside, one is in the Eurobodalla, another is in Goulburn, one is in Yass and the final one in Queanbeyan. All are under investigation.

This follows seven new COVID-19 cases announced yesterday in the 24 hours to 8 pm Friday.

Of the seven new cases:

  • Two new cases are in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region, one is linked to a known case and one is under investigation. One is in Googong and one in Karabar.
  • Three new cases are in Goulburn, two are linked to known cases, and one is under investigation.
  • One new case is in Tathra and is under investigation.
  • One new case is in Cooma and is linked to a known case.

Eleven new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District to 8 pm last night.

Ten cases are residents of the Albury LGA, two have been linked to previously known cases and eight remain under investigation.

One case is a resident of the Edward River LGA and remains under investigation.

Eighteen new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District in yesterday’s figures to 8 pm.

Of these 18 cases:

  • 16 are residents of the Albury LGA and are in isolation. Five are household contacts of previously confirmed cases. Eleven are linked to known cases.
  • One case is a resident of the Greater Hume LGA, is linked to a known case and is in isolation.
  • One case is a resident of the Berrigan LGA is in isolation and the source of their infection remains under investigation.

NSW has 301 new locally acquired infections, a day after reaching 80 per cent double-dose vaccination of eligible residents.

There are currently 619 virus patients in the state’s hospitals, 137 of them in intensive care.

Health officials say NSW conducted more than 69,000 COVID-19 tests in the 24 hours to Saturday night.

I have trouble understanding some of this information, Surfside is in the Eurobodalla, shouldn’t we in Batemans Bay have some more information eg one in Surfside, one in Eurobodalla etc etc
