Cars bank up as accident disrupts Kings Highway traffic near Braidwood

A two-car crash on the Kings Highway near Braidwood this afternoon (2 January) has left traffic banked up for six kilometres and highway traffic disrupted in both directions.

Emergency services are now on the scene of the crash which occurred near Braidwood at Foxs Elbow Road.

According to NSW Police, there have not been any fatalities from the incident.

No one is trapped in a vehicle.

Alternating stop and slow conditions are now in place and motorists are asked to allow extra time to complete their journeys.

Don’t know about both ways. Been sitting here for an hour. Haven’t moved but plenty of traffic coming the other way… not sure who is the brains behind this traffic jam

The reason there was traffic going one way,was traffic turning around and going back.I have worked at many accident,nothing unusual here except morons turning around and driving at speed towards emergency services.People are so impatient and stupid.Could of been more accidents there yesterday
