UPDATED 4:00 pm, 8 February: The South Coast Police District has reported that Rhyannon Rice has made contact with her family and they will be reunited shortly. Police have thanked the public for their assistance.

Police have launched a search for missing 13-year-old girl Rhyannon Rice. She was last seen by her family in Tuross Head on the NSW South Coast on Sunday (7 February) night at around 10:30 pm.

The family reported Rhyannon as missing to police on Sunday night and officers spent Monday visiting the addresses of friends and other contacts known to Rhyannon. The family says her disappearance is out of character.

Inspector Greg Flood of Batemans Bay Police Station said police were concerned about her disappearance because of her age, but that the disappearance wasn’t being treated as suspicious.

Rhyannon’s family has tried to contact her, however, she doesn’t have a mobile phone, Inspector Flood said.

The 13-year-old has brown hair and wears black-framed glasses.
