A landslide has closed the Snowy Mountains Highway in both directions.

Live Traffic NSW reported the incident around 4:25 pm this afternoon (Saturday 15 February).

Heavy machinery will be required to clear the road so motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Just heard it’s open again. Sunday evening. Hooray and great work. PS: I suspect judicious use of explosives, which would be very warranted in this instance 🙂

The road will remain closed overnight, with work resuming tomorrow, Sunday 16 Feb.
