A 53-year-old man has died after being pulled from the water on the NSW Far South Coast.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the incident occurred at Nethercote, approximately 8 kilometres from Eden.
“At about 2 pm yesterday (4 January), emergency services were called to Nethercote Falls, Yowaka River, following reports of a man struggling in rough water,” the spokesperson said.
“Officers attached to South Coast Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, the 53-year-old man was unable to be revived.”
It follows several people facing trouble or drowning in NSW waters in recent weeks, including another man who drowned at a beach near Mollymook and several other people needing to be rescued.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
