Woman dies in single-vehicle crash near Marulan

A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near Marulan.

About 1:30 pm on Sunday (26 June), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Wollumbi Road, Marulan, following reports a car travelling north had left the road and went over an embankment before crashing into a tree.

Witnesses stopped and went to help the driver before emergency services arrived, however, she died at the scene.

The woman is yet to be formally identified but she’s believed to be aged in her 70s. She was the only person inside the car.

Investigations are underway with police appealing for witnesses, or anyone who has dashcam footage, to come forward and contact either Goulburn Police on 4824 0799 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
