Security guard seriously injured on Far South Coast, police call for help to identify man

Police are calling on the public to help identify a man as they investigate the serious assault of a security guard on the Far South Coast.

NSW Police said they were told the guard was assaulted just after 10:30 pm on 12 June 2021 while working at a country club in Tuross Heads.

The guard received a serious eye injury and was taken to Moruya Hospital for treatment.

Police have now released a closed-circuit television image of a man they want to talk to.

“He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged about 50, with solid build, about 190cm tall with brown curly hair,” a police spokesperson said.

“At the time he was wearing a black t-shirt with a blue and white flannelette shirt.

“Information provided to investigators indicates the man may be in the Central West area.”
