FOUND: Police appeal for help to find missing Queanbeyan teenager

UPDATE 10 am: NSW Police have announced Jacob has been found. Police have thanked the community for their assistance.

5:30 pm: New South Wales Police are calling for the public’s help to find a missing teenager.

A police spokesperson said Jacob, a 15-year-old teenager, is missing from state’s south.

“Jacob Whiting, aged 15, was last seen on Cassia Crescent, Karabar, on Wednesday (13 September),” the spokesperson said.

“When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Monaro Police District were notified and commenced an investigation to locate him.

“Police and his family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his age.”

Jacob was last seen wearing a baseball cap, a black puffer jacket, black pants and white shoes.

“Jacob is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 150-160 cm tall, of medium build with black hair and brown eyes,” according to the spokesperson.

He is known to visit Queanbeyan and the Australian Capital Territory.
