FOUND: Have you seen Alan? Police appeal for help to find missing 65-year-old man

UPDATE May 9: A NSW Police spokesperson said on Wednesday afternoon that Alan had been found safe and well.

May 8: Police have called on the public to help search for a man missing from Young.

A NSW Police spokesperson said 65-year-old Alan Beresford was last seen in Elizabeth Street in Young at approximately 3:45 pm on Tuesday (7 May).

“When he could not be contacted or located, officers attached to The Hume Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts,” they said.

Mr Beresford is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall with a medium build, and short grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a red and black flannelette shirt, blue jeans and grey moccasin shoes.

The NSW Police spokesperson said Mr Beresford may be travelling in a Silver Mitsubishi Lancer, with the NSW registration plate DA20RE.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
