Parts of Hume Highway closed after woman killed in two-car crash near Goulburn

A woman has died after a ute and hatchback collided on the Hume Highway north of Goulburn this morning (17 April).

Emergency services were called to Boxers Creek, about 10 km northeast of Goulburn, at about 6:45 am to reports the two vehicles, which had both been travelling northbound, had crashed into each other.

Police said the woman driving the hatchback suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The man driving the utility was not injured and has been taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

A contraflow has been put in place between Murrays Flat Road to Boxers Creek Road while the scene is cleared.

One of the northbound lanes of the Hume Highway has been closed, with motorists told to expect delays.

It’s the second fatality for the Capital region in just three days, after a man died in a two-vehicle collision on the Federal Highway near Sutton on Saturday (15 April).
