Investigation underway after man dies in Captain's Flat house fire

A man has died after his body was pulled from a house on fire in the Queanbeyan-Palerang area.

Emergency services were called to a home on the corner of Willow Road and Wattle Avenue, Captains Flat, at about 12:30 pm today (12 December).

When they arrived the house was ablaze.

While the body is yet to be identified, it is believed to be the occupant of the home, a man aged in his 60s.

A crime scene has been established with police investigating how the fire started.
