A Goulburn man is in a serious but stable condition after being attacked during an aggravated break and enter.

Police have been told the 59-year-old was walking into his Goldsmith Street unit when he was struck on the head with a metal bar about 8 am on Sunday (15 January).

It’s believed three unknown people, all wearing balaclavas, then entered his home and hit him several times on his head, arms and torso.

Police said an “electronic stun device” was then used on his chest while they demanded property.
