Police are taking action and advising the community to follow suit following an increase in break and enter offences in the villages of Batemans Bay.
The South Coast Police District has issued the warning saying “unknown offender/s have been targeting homes around Batehaven, Sunshine Bay and Catalina.”
“The offences have occurred overnight, with thieves taking off with small personal items such as wallets and handbags.”
Officers are continuing their investigations and have increased nightly patrols of the area in response.
“Residents are urged to make sure their houses are locked and secured overnight and keep all valuables out of sight,” police advise.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or their local police station.
Meantime local police have renewed their shout out to the community for information relating to a 45-year-old man with outstanding warrants.

Allan Potts, has two outstanding warrants and is a suspect for several other offences including break and enter, involvement in police pursuits, drugs and goods in custody.
Police who first raised the alarm in early May say, “Potts is known to have many connections along the South Coast including Batemans Bay, Moruya, Narooma to Tathra.”
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Potts is asked to contact Batemans Bay police on 4472 0099 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
