A 23-year-old Canberra man has died following a motorcycle crash on the NSW South Coast.

Emergency services were called to Bimbimbie Road, near Moruya, at around 8:45 am on Sunday (27 July), after reports that a motorcycle had left the roadway and crashed.

Paramedics attempted to treat the rider for serious injuries, but he died at the scene.

Officers from the South Coast Police District established a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage, CCTV, or information relevant to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 (information is handled confidentially, and police have reminded the public not to share details via social media channels).

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
