Araluen man accused of killing woman in crash outside Braidwood

A man from Araluen has been accused of causing a crash that killed a woman south of Braidwood last year.

It is alleged Matthew Joseph Reeves was driving a ute when it crashed into a car driven by Ann-Marie Rosengren on Cooma Road, Bendoura, at about 3:20 pm on 22 February, 2022.

NSW Police said Ms Rosengren was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene, while Mr Reeves was uninjured.

Mr Reeves has now been accused of driving his Mitsubishi Triton in a dangerous way before the collision, according to court documents.

The 42-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death as well as negligent driving occasioning death.

The case against him was heard in the Queanbeyan Local Court on Tuesday (7 February) where Magistrate Roger Clisdell adjourned for a case conference to take place.

It will be back before the courts on 4 April. No pleas have been entered.
