A woman has died following a two-vehicle crash just outside Braidwood yesterday afternoon (22 February).
Police officers attached to the Monaro Police District are investigating the cause of the crash which occurred at approximately 3:15 pm. They attended and established a crime scene, and the Crash Investigation Unit is now examining it.
Police have been told that a Toyota Prado travelling west along Cooma Road, Bendoura, about 18 km south-west of Braidwood, collided with a Mitsubishi utility travelling east along the same road.
Paramedics treated the female driver of the Prado, but she died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified by police.
A 41-year-old male was driving the utility. He was taken to Braidwood Hospital for mandatory testing. He was uninjured.
Inquiries are continuing and police have appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward to Queanbeyan Police Station or Crime Stoppers website (1800 333 000). Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
