Woman appears in court over Murrumbateman shooting death

Dale Lee Vella, 52, appeared in Goulburn Local Court on Tuesday (10 August) charged with murder over the shooting death of a man in Murrumbateman last night.

NSW Police said emergency services were called to a home on Murrumbateman Road, Murrumbateman, at about 10:00 pm on Monday (9 August) after being told a man had been shot.

Police said officers arrived to find a 52-year-old man with a fatal gunshot wound.

Ms Vella was arrested at the scene and taken to Yass Police Station before appearing in court on Tuesday.

Magistrate Geraldine Beattie said Ms Vella did not apply for bail and formally refused it.

An application for an interim order to conduct a forensic procedure was made with the consent of both defence and prosecution.

The matter was adjourned to 6 October before the Goulburn Local Court.

I was very said to here about this shooting as I worked with mark for a long time hope all can be done to ease the pain of the children and to the Vella family they would give anything to any one as they are very kind people thank you Colin
