UPDATE, 3:30 pm: The Kings Highway has reopened following a two-vehicle crash near Nelligen that closed the road on Friday afternoon.

The highway had reopened by 3:30 pm, according to Live Traffic NSW.

FRIDAY, 2:30 pm:

A crash involving two vehicles closed the Kings Highway just west of Batemans Bay on Friday afternoon (10 January).

According to Live Traffic NSW, emergency services were called to the scene, which is between The River Road and Reid Street near the town of Nelligen, at about 1 pm.

The highway was closed in both directions.

Motorists were advised to delay their journey and allow extra travel time.

“All occupants of the vehicles have been released, with one person being treated by ambulance paramedics for a suspected broken ankle,” a NSW Police spokesperson said at 2:15 pm.

“The circumstances of the crash will be investigated by officers from South Coast Police District.

“It is expected lanes in both directions will be reopened to traffic shortly.”
