Adaminaby-based real estate agent Ruth Cox has joined the Ray White team with the aim of expanding the depth and breadth of property services available in the Snowy region.

Ray White Cooma has teamed up with boutique agency Cox Property Solutions led by Ruth, who has earned a distinguished reputation for her unwavering professionalism and commitment to excellence in the industry.

For the past two years, Ray White Cooma has been led by decorated sales agent Simon Porter, who is in the process of relocating to live in Cooma, with his son having been schooled in the community for the past year.

Simon and Ruth will unite to bring the best of both worlds to the Snowy community – local knowledge and experience, backed by the firepower of the broader Capital Region’s largest real estate group.

Ray White Canberra Group chairman Ben Faulks said local leadership was essential to a thriving real estate business.

“A great real estate business is part of the fabric of the community, and we have been on the hunt for strong local leaders to partner with in Cooma since acquiring the office a little over 12 months ago,” he said.

“Our aspiration has been to extend our market-leading position in the capital to include the growing Snowy region.

“With the expansion of domestic travel and the continued investment in Snowy Hydro, we believe that the region is well placed for growth in the years ahead, and that the Ray White network is uniquely placed to work with landlords and sellers to maximise their returns during this time.

“Ruth’s experience in all areas of real estate, but particularly property management, is the perfect complement for our Snowy team.

“Ruth will be able to leverage the scale and support of our Canberra team to spend more time in the field looking after landlords and tenants, as well as continuing to work with sellers who value her local knowledge and negotiation skills.”

Simon is a career real estate agent with deep experience across residential, rural and land sales.

Ruth will continue to oversee her portfolio of properties and work alongside Simon to expand the Ray White presence in Cooma and the surrounding region.

With the inclusion of the Cox Property Solutions business, the Ray White Canberra Group will now manage a portfolio exceeding $2 billion in property assets, serving more than 3000 investors, and facilitating the sale of nearly one in every 10 homes in the ACT and surrounds.

Ben said he and business co-founder Scott Jackson had taken immense pride in the significant growth of their business over the past 13 years.

“We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Ruth into our group,” he said.

“Her values align seamlessly with ours, and the commitment Ruth has demonstrated in serving her customers is a legacy we are proud to nurture and expand upon as we look to the future.”
