UPDATED: Search for missing Far South Coast teen who could be heading to Cooma - FOUND

UPDATE 12 pm – NSW Police has reported Timon Lyons has been found safe.

He was located just before 11 am, with officers thanking the community for its help.

9:30 am – A geo-alert text message has been sent to mobiles around the Far South Coast, Cooma and surrounding areas as police search for a missing teenager.

Timon Lyons, who also goes by Tim, was last seen at his home on Kulbordi Close, Tura Beach, between 9:30 pm and 10 pm on Wednesday (1 February).

The 17-year-old has not contacted friends or family since, with his family reporting him missing just after midnight.

Tim’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175 cm to 180 cm tall, of thin build with dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing blue trousers, a long-sleeved blue shirt, and a blue puffer jacket with white shoulders.

Tim is known to frequent the Tura Beach, Pambula, Pambula Beach, Merimbula and ACT areas, and may be travelling towards Cooma.

Anyone with information about Tim’s whereabouts has been urged to contact Merimbula Police Station on 6491 5500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

If you received a text message from +61 444 444 444 regarding Tim’s disappearance, it is not a scam.
