UPDATE: Body found in search for elderly man missing from Moruya

UPDATE 22 June – A body has been found in the search for a missing elderly man from the Moruya area.

The 81-year-old was reported missing on Thursday, 12 June, after his family had been unable to contact or locate him.

Subsequent reports confirmed he’d been seen buying groceries at the Moruya Woolworths on 4 June.

Police were called to Bryces Road, Nerrigundah, at about 12:55 pm on Saturday (21 June) to reports that the body of a man was found in a white ute.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.

There are no suspicious circumstances at this stage, and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
