Police are reviewing video of an officer allegedly shoving a woman outside a Bungendore school.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that about 2:50 pm on 22 July, Monaro Police District officers attended a school in Majara Street, Bungendore, following allegations that a 15-year-old boy had been threatened.
Video of the incident shows two women standing near a fence, surrounded by a crowd of people.
A police officer approaches and appears to push one of the women, who falls to the ground and hits her head on a pole.
A woman who identified herself as the alleged victim said on social media that her injuries included a cut to her ear, a fractured rib and a severe concussion.
The woman also said the alleged confrontation happened on 22 July.
In a statement, NSW Police said it was “reviewing footage circulating on social media”, and did not address the incident specifically.
According to police, while officers were inside the school, another 15-year-old boy allegedly threw a rock at a vehicle driving past, causing one of the windows to shatter.
The driver, a woman, stopped and got out of the vehicle. She was then allegedly threatened and chased by the boy and a 32-year-old woman known to him.
Police and members of the public intervened, and the boy was arrested.
“The woman known to the boy allegedly became aggressive towards police and attempted to physically intervene,” police say.
“Police warned the woman on a number of occasions, and while the boy was placed into the police vehicle, the woman allegedly threatened the other woman again.”
A senior constable then returned to the scene and arrested the 32-year-old woman.
Both the boy and the woman were taken to Queanbeyan Police Station.
The boy was charged with stalking/intimidating, contravening an AVO, and destroying or damaging property.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear at a children’s court on 11 August.
The woman was charged with hindering or resisting police and two counts of stalking/intimidating.
She was granted conditional bail and is expected to next face Queanbeyan Local Court on 11 August.
