There’s plenty to do in the region this weekend, especially if you love trucks and car racing, dancing like nobody is watching, live music and community and family fun.
Goulburn has its weekly Greyhound Races today (Friday 8 April) and, later on, Bom Funk is hopping into the Easter spirit with a disco to have kids dancing with the Easter Bunny.
Kicking off the weekend, super trucks are back for Round Two of the Motor Race Series at Wakefield Park.
Saturday starts with the Forest Festival at the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens featuring a bright and beautiful Wattle Walk. There’s also a Roller Disco in Goulburn and a community day in Jerrabomberra with a BBQ and plenty of fun for the family.
Battle of the Bands will be taking place in Moruya as a part of Youth Week and best-selling children’s author Andy Jones will be making an appearance at a kids’ workshop in Goulburn.
On Tuesday next week, Merimbula will have a Tiny Zoo Pop-Up where you can learn about various animals and take photos with them.

This weekend enjoy a fun family day out watching the Super Truck Championship, MX5s, Legend Cars, E36s and more at the Wakefield Park Motor Race Series Round 2. Pack a picnic, grab the kids and enjoy a thrilling weekend of fun. A café will be open both days and kids under 16 enter free.

Goulburn Greyhound Racing

The Goulburn Greyhound Racing Club races take place every Friday, with a licensed bar, TAB and café facilities available to watch the action. Today’s twelve-race event kicks off with race one at 11:28 am sharp and will also be broadcasted live.
Bom Funk’s Easter Disco Community Event

Calling all kids who love to dance like nobody is watching, Bom Funk Dance Studio is hosting their first Easter Disco tonight (Friday 8 April) inviting you to hop in and start the Easter celebrations. There will be photo opportunities, an Easter hat parade, a dance-off, egg and spoon races and lots of dancing, including a special appearance from the Easter Bunny. There will also be plenty of chocolate and prizes for the best dressed.

The resilience, beauty and bounty of the South Coast forests are celebrated at the From the Forest Festival kicking off this weekend. Held over two weeks, visitors are invited to wander through the Wattle Walk and enjoy exhibitions, storytelling, music, workshops and more. Alongside the help of artisans, guides and storytellers, visitors are welcomed to witness the beauty of the forests, create memories and take home unique treasures created from the forest.
Rolling Disco – PCYC Goulburn

To celebrate Youth Week Goulburn is putting on a roller-skating disco with the help of PCYC, Headspace and Rollerfit, inviting the community to dress up in their favourite retro 80s style clothes and roll into the fun. Skating and safety gear will be available for free hire; however BYO helmets are required. The evening will be split into two sessions, session one being open to the community and session two for 12 to 24-year-olds.
Currents Battle of the Bands

To celebrate Youth Week in the Eurobodalla, Moruya is hosting Currents Battle of the Bands with local DJs, giveaways, food trucks, market stalls and more for all the family to enjoy. This free, all-ages event will feature nine local high school bands and artists competing for glory and performing.
