There will be plenty to see and do around the region this week, especially if you love comedy, music and spending time out with your family and friends for food, drinks and walking adventures.
On Friday, Bean Central Café in Queanbeyan will host a comedy night featuring Benny Eggmolesse and Marky Worthington. In Tilba, Oscar Litchfield will be performing his latest country single after being on the road and touring around Australia.
To start the weekend, Saturday will feature a charity dinner for Cystic Fibrosis in Goulburn, Jessica Brown will host a Zumba class in Moruya, there will be a Reconciliation Week event in Narooma and a comedy night at the Moruya Golf Club.
On Sunday four-piece band Captain Ablit and the Bluetrash will perform in Tilba and Mami’s Bar in Batemans Bay will host a Sunday Session with pancakes, mimosas and more.
Next week, on Tuesday, there will also be a Reconciliation Week walk in Queanbeyan for the whole community to attend.

Comedy Night at Bean Central

Comedy Night at Bean Central will be brought to you this Friday by hilariously talented Canberra-based Aboriginal comedian Benny Eggmolesse. His quick wit, charisma and honest style of comedy has led him to tour with the Aboriginal Comedy Club and place runner up in the 2016 Deadly Funny National Finals comedy competition. Your MC for the night will be established comedian Marky Worthington, whose observational humour and storytelling make for comedy gold.
Oscar Litchfield @ Tilba Valley Winery & Ale House

Supported by local talent Jacob Poyner, book an evening of live music from country singer-songwriter Oscar Litchfield. He will be playing songs inspired by his time spent on the road touring, including the launch of his brand new single Call Me Up. The song perfectly encompasses the freedom and heartache of chasing one’s dreams and will appeal to any country music lover.

Cystic Fibrosis Goulburn and District will host their annual 65 Roses Charity Dinner this Saturday night at the Goulburn Soldiers Club, inviting anyone from the local community to show their support for research and those living with Cystic Fibrosis. Tickets will include a two-course dinner, an auction and entertainment by Carlo Aliffi.
Zumba fitness classes with Jessica Brown

Jessica Brown will bring weekly Zumba fitness classes to Moruya from this Saturday in partnership with Element Cheer and Dance Studio. Incorporating cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, participants will be encouraged to go at their own pace, make the best of the exercises and do what makes them feel comfortable. Jessica will provide high interval intensive workouts for participants to gradually build up their cardio and endurance while having fun.
Reconciliation Week at The Bend and Sip Bar

As last year’s successful event sold out, The Bend and Sip Bar in Narooma will host another Reconciliation Week event this year. This evening will be filled with storytelling, dance, music and food, with a special lineup of guests. Tickets will include bush tucker-inspired finger food.
Comedy Night – Moruya Golf Club

Sydney’s Future Bird Entertainment will bring together some of its best and most experienced comedians to Moruya for one big two-hour show. The lineup will feature the wit of Sydney International Comedy and Fringe Festival’s Stephanie Broadbridge, the off-beat larrikin humour of Peter Green, the ultimate comedy showmanship of Dane Hiser and the politically incorrect and down to earth stylings of Rob Andrews.

Four-piece band Captain Ablit and the Bluetrash Band will play a variety of cover songs, new and old, with an upbeat, country, bluegrass feel at the Dromedary this Sunday. The powerful lead vocals and acoustic guitar by Muzz combine with the mandolin solos and smooth second vocals from Scott, the bass and tambourine stomping of Andrew and the large array of instruments including the kazoo from Steve for lively weekend vibes.

Mami’s Bar in Bateman’s Bay will present a weekly Sunday Session featuring a long lunch, bottomless brunch and two hours of free-flowing food and drinks. If you’re a fan of mimosas and pancakes, this will be your Sunday sorted.

Queanbeyan Reconciliation Walk

Join the community of Queanbeyan for this year’s Reconciliation Week Walk. The theme is ‘Be Brave, Make Change’, which challenges all Australians to unite with Indigenous communities to tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation and make change to benefit all Australians. Following the walk an official ceremony will be held as well as an Aboriginal cultural performance and flag-raising ceremony.
