Motorists travelling on Clyde Street west in Batemans Bay are advised that the turn-around area at the end of the street will be widened to accommodate long vehicles.
The works will impact the area along the southern foreshore as well as parking and access to the private jetty at the end of the road.
Transport NSW has advised work is part of the Batemans Bay Bridge replacement project and will start on Monday, 4 January. Work will occur between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm on weekdays and between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturdays.
The turn-around area will remain open under traffic control during construction for up to six weeks, weather permitting.
This work will include permanent removal of three parallel parking spaces and temporary construction impacts to 14 car parking spaces around the turning area at the western end of Clyde Street, including the single loading bay near the private jetty.
Property, jetty and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Remaining parallel and perpendicular parking spaces along Clyde Street west will be available during this work.
In addition, Clyde Street boat ramp will be open with eight boat and trailer parking spaces available.
Motorists are advised short intermittent stoppages may occur and are asked to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
