Saturday nights in Bega aren’t known for their energy, this Saturday night (October 26) is different. You are invited to the second Bega Big Groove – a high energy, funky night of earthy music, drum and dance.

The concert features some of the Bega Valley’s most talented and dedicated community dance groups performing with Stonewave Taiko alongside an all-star cast of guest musicians.

Over 50 performers, musicians and dancers promise an evening of ground-breaking collaborations of rhythm and movement at the Bega Civic Centre.

This multicultural global fusion takes in east, west and all that is the best in our artistic community including Hip Hop, Indigenous, Spanish, West African, and Japanese.

You can count on the deepest, fattest, funkiest grooves from Ben Fowler, Gabadoo, Dan Scollay, Sam Martin, David Dixon, YuNiOn, Bembakan, Stonewave Taiko, Far South Flamenco, the ‘Flip the Script’ Crew, and special guests.

Bring your dancing shoes! Join in the fun and dance your heart out to the fat and funky sounds of The Bega Big Groove Band, a humongous funky powerhouse Afro Pop orchestra featuring Stonewave Taiko, Bembakan and special guests.

All ages are welcome, the Civic Centre is a licensed venue so under 18s need a responsible adult. Bar and food vendors will be on hand to keep you fuelled up throughout the evening.

This whirling tumult of rhythm and movement is directed by David Hewitt and presented to you by Stonewave Taiko.
