Two men are dead following crashes in southern NSW over the weekend, with police investigating one of the accidents.
NSW Police say one is believed to have been aged in his 50s and the second in his 30s.
Emergency services were called to Oallen Bridge on Oallan Ford Road at Windellama (southeast of Goulburn), at about 1 pm on Saturday (18 October), after a motorcycle and a truck collided.
Nearby drivers tried to aid the motorcyclist, who police believe to be a man aged in his 50s, but he died at the scene.
The male driver of the truck was taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.
The truck was carrying farm machinery.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Then at about 2 pm on Sunday (19 October), officers attached to Traffic South West, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command and The Hume Police District were called to the intersection of the Hume Highway and Westend Lane at Berremangra, about 50 km north of Gundagai.
The police spokesperson said a grey Toyota sedan had driven down an embankment and crashed into a tree before it caught fire.
The driver and sole occupant, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
NSW Rural Fire Service officers were also able to extinguish the fire, but the vehicle was destroyed.
Police established a crime scene and have started an investigation into the crash.
Inquiries are ongoing.
