NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Nowra.

Brody McCaughey, aged 13, was last seen at a convenience store in Nowra just before 10 pm on Monday, 18 March 2024.

When he could not be located, officers attached to the South Coast Police District commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for Brody due to his young age.

Brody is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 145 cm tall with medium build with light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit pants, black top and black shoes.

Brody is known to frequent the Berkeley, Dapto and Nowra areas.

Anyone who may have seen Brody or may know of his whereabouts is urged to contact Nowra Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

I am distressed. What’s a wee tucker this age doing at a convenience store at 10 o’clock on a Monday night? Maybe it’s ‘normal’ now, but when my kids were that age in the 80s/90s I’d be damn sure to know where they were at 10 o’clock at night…
