Police raids on properties near Young allegedly resulted in the seizure of cannabis as well as a gun, grenade and fireworks.

NSW Police said an investigation had already begun before officers executed a search warrant at a home at Cambria Street in Reids Flat, about 100 km northeast of Young, on Tuesday (16 April).

It is alleged the officers seized five cannabis plants, cannabis seeds, dry cannabis leaf, a firearm, a military smoke grenade and fireworks.

Shortly after this operation, police also raided a vacant block adjoining the property, which was on Caledonia Street, and allegedly seized 34 cannabis plants hidden behind tin fencing and a shade cloth.
