Spies, murder, love – the trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940s live radio broadcast, complete with vintage commercials via WBFR Radio in New York City.
‘Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play’ by Joe Landry is a triple feature highlighting the master’s earlier works; ‘The Lodger’, ‘Sabotage’ and ‘The 39 Steps’.
Directed by Kerry Hynes, Footprint brings the glory days radio drama to life, recreating a daring train chase, a serial killer’s ominous presence, and a devastating explosion, through the magic of live actors, sound effects, and musical underscoring.

Audiences are encouraged to dress 1940s style, befitting of a ‘live studio audience’ of the time, with a prize for the best dressed.
Tickets are $15 to $25, shows are at 7.30 pm this Friday (August 31) and Saturday (September 1) as well as 2 pm matinee on Saturday, at Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club.
