Five people have been charged after police allegedly uncovered $55 million worth of cannabis on a Lake Bathurst property.
Through Strike Force Croze, Hume Police District officers have been investigating large-scale cultivation of cannabis throughout the local area since May 2020.
At 9 am on Tuesday, 8 February, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a rural property at Lumley Road in Lake Bathurst.
Detectives had assistance from PolAir, the Rural Crime Prevention Team, the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad and specialist forensic police throughout.
Police will allege they located a large-scale cultivation set-up, with poly tunnels and hydroponic equipment.
