Never fear – reality TV series Geordie Shore is not about to descend on Rosedale, despite signs to the contrary.

A new street sign at the new Rosedale Parade roundabout, installed last week, reads ‘Georde Bass Drive’, to the amusement of many passing motorists.

Geordie Shore is a British reality television series based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and follows the lives of eight young people while they party by the beach over summer.

While the Eurobodalla can boast a number of reality TV stars, including Karen and Krystal Forscutt, the first mother-daughter duo to enter the Big Brother house, Love Island winner Grant Crapp and Kitchen Nightmares entrant Andrew Johns, it will not be adding ‘Geordies’ to the list.

The extra-large typo on George Bass Drive should be fixed this week, a Eurobodalla Shire Council spokesperson said.

Asked about the sign, the Eurobodalla Shire Council said the entire project was being undertaken by the developers of Saltwood Estate (a new subdivision to the west of George Bass Drive) not the council.

The masterplan on the Saltwood Estate website identifies more that 180 lots.

The roundabout installation is being completed by Armpell Civil.

The road is operating under traffic control and commuters should allow extra travel time.

Work is expected to finish this month.
