Cyclist dies in Tuross Head accident

A cyclist has died after an accident in the Eurobodalla this afternoon (Wednesday, 12 February).

About 1:50 pm emergency services were called to Hector William Drive, Tuross Head, south of Moruya, following reports a cyclist had been found unresponsive.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene but he could not be revived.

While he is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 80s.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstance surrounding the crash.

Initial inquiries suggest the cyclist crashed into a parked car.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
