Witnesses have been urged to come forward following a B-double crash that closed the Hume Highway for several hours.

Emergency services received a call at about 7 am on Tuesday (10 May) to the Hume Highway at Coolac, after a southbound B-double truck veered off the road, flipped onto its side and slid 200 metres before it stopped.

The 28-year-old male driver was trapped for two hours before he was flown to Canberra Hospital with leg injuries.

His 23-year-old male passenger was not injured.

Anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage has been urged to contact Riverina Police District on 6922 2599.
