A man has died and two women were left with serious injuries due to a three-vehicle crash on the Far South Coast yesterday.
NSW Police said emergency services were called to the Princes Highway south of Pambula at about 1:15 pm on Sunday (11 September) over reports of the crash.
Officers were told a vehicle towing a caravan and a ute travelling north both collided with an SUV travelling south.
The male passenger of the SUV died at the scene, while the car’s female driver was taken to South Eastern Regional Hospital (SERH) in a critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle towing the caravan had minor injuries and was taken to SERH for mandatory testing, but the female passenger of the same vehicle had to be airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition with pelvic and internal injuries.
The driver of the ute was also taken to SERH for mandatory testing with minor injuries.
Police established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit began investigating the incident.
The highway was closed in both directions for a time.
