The bull that was allegedly shot in the face with an arrow on the NSW South Coast earlier this month is “recovering”, police said as they continue to investigate the matter.

It was reportedly shot in the face with a bow and arrow on a rural property off the Princes Highway in Turlinjah between 3 pm on 9 February and 6 pm on 10 February 2025.

The arrow was still stuck in its nose when police officers arrived at the scene.

It was originally reported that the animal was a cow, however police later clarified it was actually a young Holstein Friesian bull.
