Teenager charged for allegedly stealing farm machinery from property near Crookwell

An 18-year-old man has been granted conditional bail after being charged with a string of offences allegedly occurring near Crookwell.

Police have alleged that farm machinery – including a quad bike, motorcycle and petrol drill – were taken from a Woodhouselee cattle farming property sometime between 5 and 9 February.

Rural Crime Prevention officers searched a Goulburn property at about 1 pm on Tuesday (13 February).

In a statement, NSW Police alleged they seized a Yamaha motorcycle, prohibited drugs, tools and ammunition.

The teenager was arrested at a home in Goulburn and taken to Goulburn Police Station.

He’s been charged with breaking, entering and stealing property, stealing a motor vehicle, possessing a prohibited drug, cultivating a prohibited plant, and possessing ammunition without a licence.

The man is scheduled to reappear before Goulburn Local Court on 27 February.
