NSW Police have charged a 19-year-old woman over an alleged armed robbery at Narooma.
It is alleged the woman went to a service station on the Princes Highway at Narooma at around 6:30 pm, threatened the service station attendant with a carving knife and demanded cash.
The service station attendant complied and the woman fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The staff member was not injured during the alleged robbery.
NSW South Coast Police were called and established a crime scene a short time later. Following police inquiries, a 19-year-old woman was arrested at Narooma Police Station at about 2:15 am this morning (6 July).
A crime scene warrant was executed at the woman’s home a short time later where investigators seized clothing and a knife believed to have been used in the robbery.
The woman was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and was refused bail. She will face Batemans Bay Local Court today.
