A man was airlifted to Canberra after two masked men allegedly broke into his home and assaulted him.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that shortly before 1 am this morning (13 October), emergency services were called to a house on Yarralumla Crescent in Tomakin.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended the scene, and police say two men wearing face coverings allegedly entered the home through unknown means.
Once inside the home, a 39-year-old male occupant was allegedly assaulted.
The men are said to have then exited the home via the rear of the premises.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 39-year-old at the scene before taking him to Moruya Hospital.
He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Police also say a 77-year-old woman who was at the home was uninjured.
Specialist police will examine the scene.
