When: 18 January, 6:30 pm
Where: Cobargo Bushfire Resilience Centre
Cost: Entry is free with tickets available at the door.

Bemboka filmmaker Jimmy Logue and his production company Crewcible are debuting their documentary The Day She Stole The Sun at the Cobargo Bushfire Resilience Centre. The filmmaker’s purpose was to shift the focus of media attention on the effect of the Black Summer bushfires on Cobargo from a story of tragedy to one of education. By centralising what the community has learnt from the natural disaster rather than what was lost, Logue hopes to change people’s perspectives on the fires. A Q&A session with the filmmakers will follow the film and viewers will get a chance to ask about this amazing documentary that won the People’s Choice Award at the Far South Film Festival in August.
