Where: Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Civic Centre, 184 Bourke Street

Celebrate the opening of the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery’s first exhibitions of the year, featuring a range of young Australian artists.

The Primavera exhibition show was created to celebrate artists under 35 and this year’s program features young artists Tiyan Baker, Christopher Bassi, Moorina Bonini, Nikki Lam, Sarah Poulgrain and True Truong as they explore this year’s theme chosen by curator Talia Smith.

The theme is based around a question – what are artists doing to challenge prescribed societal structures? Through multimedia installation, video, painting, sculpture, mark-making and text, the chosen artists respond to this question.

Also showing in Gallery 2, Jodie Munday presents Woven Stories. Munday, a Wiradjuri artist, presents an installation of woven artworks combining a culturally unique background of Celtic and Indigenous lineage, blending two distant cultures together in a tangible work of art.
