Brophy’s Circus Goulburn

Brophy’s Circus is coming to Goulburn for an exciting, fast-paced and sometimes death-defying show, bursting with thrills for the whole family to cheer for.
This visit on the 2025 tour schedule features the gravity-defying Wheel of Steel, the Globe of Death, aerial performers and a troupe of clowns. It is set to be a full two hours of fun and excitement at the Goulburn Recreation Area.

Ali Nasseri – Boredom Doesn’t Exist – Photography exhibition
When: 13 to 15 June, 10 am to 5 pm
Where: Suki and Hugh Gallery, 38A Gibraltar Street, Bungendore

Boredom Doesn’t Exist is a photography exhibition reflecting on the evolving nature of identity, displacement and resilience.
Artist Ali Nasseri was born in Iran and was displaced after the 1979 revolution. Using this event, Nasseri explores themes of liberty and belonging through photography that focuses on play, laughter and joy. The images feel nostalgic, with intense, exaggerated colours that remind the viewer of childhood memories.
Using just 10 exposures per roll of film, Nasseri imbued each frame with his artistic intent, creating a rare and tangible feeling of memory.

Umbilical Brothers The Distraction

The Umbilical Brothers are an international phenomenon, having performed in 40 countries. Their unique blend of provoking and physical comedy has made them a household name and they’re coming to Batemans Bay for a night of laughs.
Winner of the Best Comedy Award at the 2021 Adelaide Fringe Festival, this is a great chance to see a real comedic power duo up close and personal, in their prime, for one night.

Goulburn Poultry Fanciers’ Society – Annual Show

The Goulburn Poultry Fanciers’ Society Annual Show has more than $4000 in cash, prizes and trophies to be won in its competition for bird breeds including soft feather, hard feather, waterfowl, bantam, rare, purebred, crossbreed, peafowl, guinea fowl, turkey, pheasant, as well as others.
A great get-together for all things feathered, the annual show also has incubators, feeders, carry boxes and other related equipment for sale, for those looking to kick-start their poultry path.

Melbourne International Comedy comes to Queanbeyan

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is hitting the road and this Friday it’s coming to a screeching landing at The Q.
Bringing together the best comedians from the 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, this show promises a night of uproarious laughs, with the likes of Jake Howie, Ben Kochan, Janty Blair, Ting Lim and Zack Dyer.

Looking to write your own crime/mystery? Maybe you’re a bona fide enthusiast who just wants a deeper insight into your favourite genre. Either way, you’ll get a lot out of this panel discussion featuring locally based writers talking about the crime and mystery genre.
This will be a nice cosy event where you and other enthusiasts/aspiring writers will enjoy a cuppa and learn about how the genre works, how to write heroes and villains and how to create that elusive quality that all mystery needs … suspense.
Panellists include Isabel Carter, author of Down in the Devil’s Hole, Kim Ulrick, who recently released her debut novel Bad Country and Carolyn Dawson, an up-and-coming writer who will speak about the journey to publication.
