Things to do in the regions this week (13 – 19 February)

A lot of excitement is in store across the regions, with cultural festivals, town shows, comedy acts, live music, sporting events and much more to check out.

The Cobargo Show is back this year, with more attractions than ever. This year’s event features car soccer, horse events, cattle and poultry judging and a pavilion with art, photography, craft and other displays.

Goulburn’s Multicultural Festival also makes a return, with 20 cultural groups showcasing delicious food, performances, activities and more.

Here’s the lowdown on those offerings and more in this week’s guide.

Multiple Days

Cobargo AP & H Society Annual Show

When: 13 February, 8 am to 6 pm; 14 February, 8:30 am to 9 pm; 15 February, 8 am to 7:30 pm
Where: Cobargo A P & H Society, 81 Avernus Street, Cobargo

The Cobargo Agricultural Country Show is an exciting celebration of country life, putting the region’s best livestock, skills and produce, and community spirit, on display.

There will be a full range of traditional agricultural competitions, including dairy, cattle and poultry judging, along with horse events such as hacking, showjumping, the working horse challenge, a rodeo and campdraft.

There will also be a pavilion showcasing art, photography, kids’ crafts, sewing, handicrafts, fruit and veggie displays, jams, preserves and cakes.

If action is what you’re after, check out the chainsaw demonstrations, Young Farmers’ Challenge, motorbike obstacle course, lawnmower race and car soccer.

Canberra Judo International Open — Goulburn

When: 13 February, 11 am to 7:30 pm; 14 February, 7:30 am to 5 pm; and 15 February, 8:30 am to 5 pm
Where: Veolia Arena, 45 Braidwood Road, Goulburn
Cost: Free entry for spectators.

The first judo tournament on the 2026 calendar of the Judo Australia National Event Series is coming to the Veolia Arena in Goulburn.

This three-day event puts judo exponents of all levels and from around the country against each other. From the junior level to veterans, a huge array of talent will be in action.

The program begins with Kata competitions, followed by Cadet Men and Women, Junior Men and Women and Senior Men and Women, U11s, U13s and U15 Boys and Girls, with Kyus and Veterans. There is so much to see, and it’s all free.

Athletes will be vying for national pointscoring to be selected to represent the nation at international competitions.

Goulburn Multicultural Festival

When: 14 February, 10 am to 4 pm
Where: Belmore Park, 173 Auburn Street, Goulburn
Cost: Free.

One of Goulburn’s most anticipated yearly events, the Goulburn Multicultural Festival, is back this Saturday at Belmore Park.

It is sure to be just as exciting as last year’s, with a plethora of food and street stalls, community markets, live music, kids’ activities and many other attractions.

There will be more than 20 visiting cultural groups, as well as local ones, putting on entertaining and colourful displays.

It’s a great chance to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the Goulburn area’s many cultures.

Baby Boomers Live Comedy Tribute of Music Legencds

When: 14 February, 7:30 pm

Heading back to Batemans Bay by popular demand, the Baby Boomers Live Comedy Tribute show makes audiences cry with laughter by exploring hilarious spoofs of our most beloved pop stars.

With reinvented rock music, skewed lyrics and parody, this show, hosted by comics Brian Bull and Sandra McRae, brings the music of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s back to life with a comic twist.

Alex Lloyd — Echoes of Home Tour at the Tumut River Brewing Company

Four-time award-winning singer-songwriter Alex Lloyd is touring the nation, bringing his signature voice and stage presence together for audiences all over the country.

Lloyd is sharing new music exploring everything from loss to love and the depths of human experience. This tour will set the stage for his much-anticipated and eagerly awaited Echoes of Home EP. Don’t miss the chance to see one of Australia’s best performers live.

Next Chapter: Uni — Country Universities Centre Information Session

When: 16 February, 5:30 to 7:30 pm
Where: CUC Goulburn, 91 Bourke Street, Goulburn

If you’re a non-recent school leaver or a mature-age student thinking of enrolling at a university for the first time, planning a career change or considering upskilling, this free event is meant for you.

New possibilities and opportunities open up as the CUC provides a clear, practical information session on how to begin your university journey. All attendees will receive a guidebook on the first steps to take, a free career advice appointment session and ongoing course advice. There will also be current students on hand to talk about their experiences. Light refreshments will be provided. Entry and welcome are at 5:15 pm and presentations begin at 5:30 pm.
