The search for a missing fisherman on the NSW South Coast is continuing today, with multiple emergency services involved in the effort.
The 56-year-old man left Batemans Bay Marina early on Saturday morning (19 July) in an eight-metre cruiser and was last heard from around 10 am.
When he failed to return that evening, police were alerted, and a large-scale search operation began.
Marine Area Command is leading the search, with help from South Coast Police, Marine Rescue NSW, and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

On Sunday, six Marine Rescue NSW vessels trawled the waters from Ulladulla to Merimbula for any sign of the man and his boat, up to 12 nautical miles (22 kilometres) offshore.
Around 30 volunteers were involved, along with radio operators supporting from shore.
Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Stuart Massey said conditions were mostly good, but there were many whales in the area. Crews were gradually stood down throughout the day to manage fatigue and fuel.

More volunteer crews from Narooma, Bermagui, and Merimbula are on standby to resume the search today (21 July), with vessels expected to return to the water from 8:30 am.
“All of our dedicated volunteers are tired but ready to continue tomorrow,” Mr Massey said on Sunday (20 July).
“They are an incredible group of committed people.”
The search area and plans for the day will be confirmed by police this morning.
